1.  What is the purpose of this needle-free injection jet (NFJI) device?  


Anodyne’s cosmetic, medical, and veterinary device series are designed to replace needle and syringe administration of injectables. To eliminate the potential needle-sticks and significantly reduce adverse events, and injuries associated with needles and syringes.  While providing a fast, convenient stress-free, “pain-free /pain-less” experience for the patients.

2. What is an Anodyne needle-free injection jet (NFIJ) device, and how does it work?  


Anodyne devices are “first in class” and are designed to deliver veterinary, medical, and cosmetic injectable products beneath the skin's surface without the use of traditional needles. It utilizes a patented low-pressure system to create high speed micro-jet flow of the injectable that penetrates the skin, allowing the applied product to be absorbed effectively.

3. Is Needle-free jet injection device technology painful?  


As show in pain related clinical studies the needle-free injections of most products and depending on volume of injection and viscosity provide a pain score range of 0-3 by patients, as related to needle and syringe that range from 5 to 10.  The general initial sensation or experience during the procedure, is one of shock as the patient hears the CO2 injection compression sound but no pain.  Or the patient asks, “did you inject me”.  On cosmetic injections and low volume of injection, there may be only the sensation of touch of contact of device to the skin.

5. Is application of a numbing cream prior to administrations necessary with the needle-free injection device?


No, time saving afforded to both patients and clinics and time for numbing cream applications and effectiveness period prior to needle and syringe for certain applications.  The procedure is generally considered “Painless or Pain-free” as compared to traditional needle injections. Most clients report no pain and are amazed at the lack of discomfort, and there is no need to use numbing creams or lidocaine injections prior to administration of injections.  

6. What medical or cosmetic treatments can be administered with this device?  


Anodyne device can be used for various cosmetic treatments including the following: Various medical injectable drugs; PRP preparations, stem cells, DNA, supplements, Peptide, nutraceuticals; as well as dermal fillers, hyaluronic acid injections, hydrolyzed collagen, Botox, lipotropic, and other skin-enhancing substances. 

7. Are there any side effects or risks associated with using the needle-free injection device?


As with any cosmetic procedure, there may be a limited potential side effects, including redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. However, these effects are usually mild and temporary. Normally, the injections can be done within a patient's normal day’s activities.

Some applications may need 100’s of injections, this still can be accomplished by a trained individual in under 30 to 45 minutes including preparation time.

Results may vary based on the treatment or specific application, and individual’s response, but many clients notice improvements shortly after the procedure. Full results may be visible within a few days to months, depending on application.

While the device is generally safe, potential however limited complications may include infection, bruising, or localized reactions.  Much like a syringe injection a random number of injections may hit a capillary and may cause bruising, depending on patient skin type and location of injections. Annual training of personal, proper hygiene and aseptic techniques are essential to reduce these risks.

6. Are there unique needle-free injection devices for different types for varying treatments?


Yes, some devices may offer interchangeable disposable cartridge and nozzle options, other devices for certain administration have stainless steel barrels to accommodate different treatments and injection depths.  These stainless (SS) barrels are sterilized between each patient. A set of SS barrels are provided as part of the device package to support flow of operations within the clinic’s day. Depending on the current and intended applications of injectable services of the clinic, the suppler can assist in providing the best fit for the clinic for now and in the future.

7. Is the device easy to integrate into existing cosmetic treatment practices?


Yes, simply put Anodyne devices is designed to replace all syringe injection within the clinical operations. The device is designed to be user-friendly and easily integrated into existing cosmetic treatment practices. Proper training for staff members is essential to ensure seamless adoption.

8. Are there any restrictions or contraindications for using the needle-free injection device?


The device is restricted use to certified healthcare professionals that under regulatory guidance can administer injectables.  They are aware of any contraindications and potential interactions with other treatments or medical conditions. Not necessarily, based on application devices have been formatted for mobile carrying case for EMS, or mobile clinical applications for, home-care nurses, retirement home, or veterinary farm services by the health care providers.  Please provide your application interest to the supplier to provide the various options for your intended use. 

10. Is the needle-free injection device regulatory approved? 


The devices have been regulatory approved and has been primary sold in a soft launch in Europe, Japan, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and several other countries.  They is ISO certified and manufactured in North America.  Inquire with the Anodyne in regards to specifics in your area.

11. Is the needle-free injection device covered by warranties or service agreements? 


Yes, the devices will be sold with a 6-yr service and maintenance agreement, 6-yr extended warranty for 100% replacement from manufacture defects and standard wear.  Training and certification will be annually provided and mandatory for all users to maintain warranty. 

12. Are there any ongoing costs associated with using the device? 


Depending on specific device and application. Details on any consumables or accessories that need regular replacement and their associated costs.  As the devices allow for elimination of sharp waste stream and costs of needles and syringes, there is a positive benefit that offset consumable costs.
